A native of England and a graduate of Neenah High School, Dr. Susan Allen received her medical degree and completed her residency at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia.

When deciding to pursue a career in anesthesiology, Dr. Allen enjoyed the variety of procedures for which she could administer anesthesia, however, orthopedic surgery was always a special interest. Having worked in several larger hospitals, including the renowned Cedars -Sinai in Los Angeles, Dr. Allen loves and values the smaller, more cooperative and collaborative environment of a surgery center which can offer patients a superior surgical experience.

Dr. Allen believes that the best part of her job is having the opportunity to help patients feel at ease prior to their surgery. Since surgery can be intimidating, Dr. Allen strives to listen to her patients and their concerns, and then provides them with the best advice she can based on her education and experience.

In her free time, Dr. Allen enjoys spending time with her kids, traveling with her husband, working out, and walking her dog.

“It is my goal to set my patients at ease before surgery. Surgery is routine for me, but not for my patients. I am committed to delivering reassurance, along with the very best care.”
