Dr. Jacob Seiler earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago and completed his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He completed his fellowship in sports medicine at the UHZ Sports Medicine Institute in Miami, where he worked with the Miami Dolphins and Florida International University. He also worked with collegiate and high school football athletes.
Dr. Seiler is a sports medicine specialist performing muscle, tendon and ligament repair and reconstruction, cartilage restoration and limb alignment correction. He cares for the full spectrum of orthopedic conditions, including joint replacements – like anterior hip replacements and robotic assisted total knee replacements – fracture care, pediatric, and sports related injuries and conditions. Dr. Seiler says he likes to work with his hands and solve problems, a perfect fit for an orthopedic surgeon.

Wow, What a Fantastic first experience at OSMS with the Receptionist, Dr. Seiler nurse that was subbing for another nurse. Dr. And his Staff was amazing, caring and very understanding on explaining my ex rays and the next step on what we are doing. The nurse called back the same day and my insurance was preauththorization for a CT scan. Now it’s recovery time and wait for the CT scan. First of all, the fact that OSMS has walk in appointments is beyond exceptional. Rather than going to urgent care (where I would be greeted by a GP and told to rest my hurt shoulder and ice it for a few weeks), I was able to see an orthopedic that 100% seemed to know what he was doing.Dr. Seiler spent quality time with me to assess the shoulder after having x-rays completed. He was thorough, seemingly quite knowledgable, and walked me through my options. Dr. Seiler is a great guy, listens, tells it like it is, willing to share, very knowledgeable, and I would love to have him as my neighbor! When I met him I had been at an ER and at 430 when they still couldn't find the doctor on call, I called the number to his office. He met me just before 5, got x rays, told me my kneecap was broken. My daughter had been dealing with knee pain for over a year and did not see any improvement from her previous Orthopedic Dr. or PT. A friend of ours recommended we take our daughter to Dr. Seiler for her knee pain. When I called OSMS they were so friendly and understanding. I called on a Monday and we had an appointment that Friday to see Dr. Seiler. They called and had all the records and X-rays transferred which was awesome. When we went to her appointment, check in was very quick and we did not wait long to be seen. Dr. Seiler came in the room and introduced himself to us all and shook our hands. He spent almost an hour with us, which was more than all our visits put together at my daughter’s previous Orthopedic Dr. He did a very thorough examination and explained everything along the way to my daughter and I so that we understood. I fell around 1245, went to ER, finally to his office where he met me at 4:55, stayed to look at the x ray, and was able to fit me into a cancelled spot for surgery at 1030 the next morning. I am really pleased my visit with Dr. Seiler. He explained to me in detail about the condition of my right shoulder rotator cuff and gave me a referral for a physical therapist to begin therapy to help improve strength and mobility in my arm as well as a steroid injection. He also went over my spinal x-ray which shows the slipped vertebrae and gave me a referral to see a doctor at the neurology and spine clinic. Dr. Seiler is Very friendly, informative and very talented. I Went to Dr. Seiler with a torn ACL, he explained every possible procedure for the surgery in very detail and picked the perfect procedure suitable to my activities. Surgery went well and he made sure I am taking all the post-operation precautions and healing at the same-time. Great place to go for injuries. They are friendly, each nurse/staff member greets you and tells you their name. Wait times are minimal. Doctor listened to my concerns, examined me, and sat with me talking about what I felt my next steps should be. He offered work restrictions if I felt they might be necessary, and eased my concerns about my injury needing another surgery. Dr Seiler is genuinely kind, caring, and happy to answer any questions. He is personable and knowledgeable, you can tell he loves his job and cares about his patients. I didn’t know what to expect when I broke my leg in April, I had never broken a bone before. I thought the ER would slap a cast on me and send me on my way lol. I ended up needing surgery and Dr. Seiler explained everything well and did a great job getting me fixed up. Dr. Seiler was excellent with my son throughout his entire time under his care. He also was a wonderful advocate for him when he needed to be sedated to be casted and the ER doctors wanted to try something less effective because we were struggling to get an IV in. I suffered in pain for over 5 years. I saw various surgeons, but wasn't comfortable with them, it was as if I was just a number. Dr. Seiler took the time to explain everything to me, he addressed all of my concerns and made me feel as if I was important, not just a number, but an individual undergoing a life changing event.
