Dr. McLaughlin is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon. He attended Medical School at the University of Maryland. He then completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. After completing his fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. McLaughlin served as the Medical Director of The Kennedy Center for 30 years.

Dr. McLaughlin has stepped down from his clinical practice and now works performing clinical outcomes research. He has published numerous articles and has presented his research at the AAOS, The European Hip Society, the Japanese Hip Society and The Harvard Hip Symposium.
