A De Pere native, Ryan Mathews obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Bellin College and completed his Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia at St. Mary’s University. After hearing about Nurse Anesthesia from his roommate, Ryan became interested in the career. Ryan liked working in the operating room and was compelled by the autonomy and fast-paced environment of anesthesia. To Ryan, the best part of his job is the people he works with, including his coworkers and patients. Although his time with his patients is brief, he appreciates the meaningful difference he can make on their surgical experience, helping his patients feel confident in the outcome of their surgery.

In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, coaching boys’ baseball and girls’ soccer, traveling, camping, and golfing.

“As their CRNA, my patients can expect to be heard. I will listen to their concerns and take the time they need to feel comfortable and confident going into their surgery.”
