Glenn’s I’m Back Story
Imagine that for 22 years of your life, you have been suffering from knee pain. At first, the pain is bearable, so you wait to get it checked out. However, over time, your knee pain worsens, making it difficult to do day-to-day tasks like mowing the lawn, getting in and out of the car, and going grocery shopping. One day, you can’t endure the pain anymore and decide to see an orthopedic surgeon. Little do you know that your life will forever change after your first appointment with an orthopedic surgeon. You end up having a total knee replacement, where after having pain for two decades, the pain is finally gone…
Glenn has been BMX racing for approximately 22 years and was suffering with knee pain for about 20 years. Originally, Glenn had broken his leg a long time ago and it never healed correctly. This led to his knee wearing. In addition to that, Glenn was suffering from arthritis pain for 15 years.
The pain Glenn was enduring interfered with his day-to-day activities to the point where it was very hard for him to walk. He couldn’t cut the grass and riding his motorcycle was almost impossible. Although Glenn could still race his BMX bicycles, there was certain times where the pain would be constant after he had a mishap while riding. By the summer of 2022, when Glenn realized that he couldn’t even cut the grass anymore, he knew it was time to do something.
Glenn chose OSMS because one of his neighbors explained that she had her knee replaced with us and “could not say enough good things about OSMS.”
“My overall experience at OSMS and the staff was 100% positive.” Glen mentions that at OSMS, everybody was helpful and was there to make sure that he reached his goals.
“My life has changed since my first appointment in the fact that the pain that I had and had to live with daily is gone. It was constant to the point where even over the counter pain medication wouldn’t do anything for it and now I don’t have to take anything.”
Glenn had a lot of apprehension going in to get his right knee replaced, but now he is back doing exactly what he wanted to do. He is living his life just the way he wants to live it.
“I couldn’t be more happy with my knee.”
Glenn is back to doing everything that he wanted to do when he went in for his procedure. He is riding his motorcycle and racing BMX, along with doing yard work. It is not a challenge for Glenn to go to the grocery store or even get in and out of the car.
“Thanks to OSMS, I’m back.”
