OSMS is Your Local Expert in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, and Rheumatology
OSMS is Your Local Expert in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, and Rheumatology! OSMS Marketing & Business Development Manager, Darin Schumacher, discusses all the benefits of choosing OSMS for your Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, and Rheumatology care!
OSMS is a doctor-owned orthopedic, sports medicine, rheumatology, and pain management practice serving Northeast Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. We have six clinic locations in Green Bay, Neenah, Marinette, Oshkosh, Chilton, and Oconto Falls. Even though we are doctor-owned and not affiliated with a large healthcare system, we accept most insurance plans and have a 98% patient satisfaction rating.
Most insurance plans do not require a referral for orthopedic, sports medicine, or pain management care. This means if you if your elbow, knee, hip, hand, whatever hurts, you don’t have to make an extra appointment by going to a primary care provider. You can make an appointment directly with one of our specialists and get the care you need quicker, saving you something extremely valuable – your time. And with 21 orthopedic and sports medicine doctors, 6 rheumatologists, and 2 pain management physicians you won’t have to wait long to get an appointment.
Our Acute Injury Clinics are located in our Green Bay and Neenah locations. The AICs open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and if you have an injury you can walk in and be seen by an orthopedic physician without an appointment. The OSMS AICs are charged as a regular office visit so there is no emergency or urgent upcharge. Not only do you save time by seeing a doctor right away, but it costs the same as if you made an appointment.
Most people don’t realize we operate on less than 30% of our patients so coming to us does not always mean that you are going to have surgery. But if you do require surgery, you are in the best hands possible. Our Neenah and Green Bay surgery centers combined have a 0.15% post-operative infection rate. That is more than 6 times lower than the national surgery center average and more than 16 times lower than the national hospital average post-operative infection rate.
Our surgery center in Green Bay, the Orthopedic Surgery Center of Green Bay, was recently named one of America’s Best by Newsweek Magazine. Only 9 surgery centers in Wisconsin made the list and Orthopedic Surgery Center of Green Bay was the only surgery center in Northeast Wisconsin to make the list.
We are thrilled to be able to be part of Your Local Experts and what viewers can expect each month is a segment from one of our doctors talking about different topics like knowing when you should make an appointment if you are in pain, rheumatic diseases, arthritis, pain management, and procedures from ACL reconstruction to joint replacements.
