At OSMS, we invest in our culture. Investing in our culture means investing in our people. We want to make sure we have a positive work environment where our staff looks forward to coming to work each day, relationships and teams are built, and everyone feels like family.
Starting with the culture side – What is our culture like at OSMS?
“I think it’s important to understand what exactly culture is. So, what culture is, is really the working environment that we work in. And that really does have an impact on how we work together.
Because the doctors own OSMS, they intentionally created a culture. When the organization was a little bit smaller, it had that really family feel to it, and we’ve just continued to kind of keep creating that environment in the in the numerous locations we had. So, it’s really important that we continue to do that. No matter how we continue to grow, how big we get, we still need that positive family feel. Because we want our employees to come in and want to come to work today. We want them to put their best foot forward and really give it all at work.
The investment in our culture is investing in our people. We want to make sure we have an environment, a positive environment, where staff can come in and they can have fun. We, we have fun a lot; we laugh a lot!
You know, we love to just engage with each other and relationships are built, teams are built, and that’s the basis of our patient experience. When we have a really happy staff, you’re going to produce a bottom-line amazing patient experience. Because the patients will feel that. So, it’s really important that we continue to keep our culture in a forward direction of creating a positive environment where again, like I said, staff wants to be here.”
Turning on to the side of recruitment and job opportunities – What would you say are some of the qualities that we are looking for in our candidates across our whole organization?
“So, one of the qualities we look for is adaptability. We are a growing organization and so what we’re looking for is somebody who’s comfortable making those changes. Somebody who is going to be able to pivot quickly. Because we’re a physician owned organization, we’re able to make improvements when we see a need. So, what we’re looking for is somebody who’s comfortable with that.
Another quality that we look for, is somebody who is comfortable in a team environment. Somebody who can jump in and do what’s needed. There are some positions that we hire for that may seem like they’re kind of more secluded and just more of a one person show, but in reality, we all work together, and we have a great team! So, somebody who’s comfortable working with that team.”
So now that we know the qualities of the candidates that we’re looking for, let’s talk about the different types of jobs and then the locations and entities that people could possibly be working at.
“Okay! So, we have a variety of different positions available. We are looking for clinical positions which might include a Nurse or MA type positions. We’re also looking for front office staff positions.
We have locations in Green Bay and the Fox Valley. Both of those locations have a surgery center and a clinic. We also have some satellite locations.”
